FOLLOW UP TO REQUEST
Followup action on requests with shipment status at the unit level is not mandatory but, when used, the
following procedures apply:
-Follow up on shipments with a final designator at CONUS activities when 60 calendar days
have passed since the date shipped or EDD and the shipment has not been received.
-Remove the shipment status card from the due-in status file.
-Enter TM1 (Figure 4) in block 1 and circle the entry using colored pencil or ink.
-Record the followup in the document register.
-Erase proper entry in column 1.
-Enter TM1 and Julian date of the action in column N.
-Send the followup to the SSA. (If shipment status card is lost, notify the SSA that the shipment
has not been received. Provide the SSA with all available information related to the request.)
