108,000 (TDD) divided by 19,200 (GPD) =
5.6 (rounded to 6) ROWPUs required for TDD
This requirement dictates operating all your 600-GPH ROWPUs at
maximum capacity. If at any given time you cannot produce at maximum
capacity, the DMMC and G4 must be notified to meet the mission needs.
PART B - PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
It is your responsibility to enforce a preventive maintenance
program. Check DA Forms 2404 that you receive daily from each team
chief. Make sure PMCS are performed as recommended by the technical
manual. The team chief must also keep you informed of any monthly,
semiannual, or annual maintenance that is due on the equipment.
Haphazard scheduling of DS maintenance will be detrimental to the
mission. Forward copies of DA Forms 2404 to unit maintenance and the
DMMC.
Be sure you coordinate with the DMMC for the maintenance program to
continue the mission 24 hours a day.
You must use the service
support annex of the OPLAN to develop maintenance and work schedules
around the distribution schedule.
You must have adequate equipment
Inform the
division G4 and the DMMC anytime equipment maintenance interferes
with your mission.
PART C - EXPENDABLE SUPPLIES
You must maintain a 30 day supply of expendable supplies on hand.
The water team chiefs are required to provide completed DA Form 1713-
R and DA Form 1714-R daily.
From these forms, you can establish
historical data that will enable you to forecast the need for
expendable supplies.
In cases where historical data are not
available, you must calculate consumption rates of expendable
supplies (such as fuel and chemicals) using technical manuals.
You

requirements.
The most common of these supplies for the 600-GPH
ROWPU are fuel, oil, ROWPU chemicals, cartridge filters, antiseize
tape, O-rings and lubricant.
The technical manual also lists other
items as expendable.
Coordinate with the DMMC for information from
the OPLAN on the turnaround time for ordering expendable supplies.
Forward copies of DA Form 1713-R and DA Form 1714-R to the G4 and
DMMC.
