minimum of washing with warm soapy water, then rinsing with
distilled water followed by drying by air or with an oven.

This feature must
become an integral part of the procedures from the planning
stage and throughout. The technicians while performing any test

precautions.
The laboratory supervisor must be thoroughly
knowledgeable of safety standards.
In addition, safety
procedures that are specific to each test method should be
discussed
before
the
beginning
of
the
test
procedure.
Technicians
are
required
to
wear
protective
gear
while
performing the test methods. Some items such as eye protectants
and lab aprons must be worn at all times while in the
laboratory. Some common safety requirements are listed below:
Keep aisles clear for hasty exits.
Identify and point out primary and alternate fire exits.
Observe all routine safety procedures.
Observe
all
applicable
environmental
concerns
and
considerations.
