OVERVIEW
LESSON DESCRIPTION: In this lesson, you will learn how the various water units support the TO,
how water testing is an important part of water quality, and how to determine water requirements for
various levels of TO.
TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
ACTION:
You will describe the operation, configuration, and use of water supply units at direct
and general support levels to include the Force Provider System; compute water
requirements for specific units; and describe water quality analysis testing.
CONDITION:
You are the logistics officer responsible for field water purification and distribution in
your area of operations. You have been assigned by your headquarters to plan and
organize water operations and monitor water quality in support of DS operations in a
nontactical environment.
STANDARD:
You will monitor and plan mission support to include unit/troop support, water
requirements, and water quality IAW FM 10-52, the Water Planning Guide, and TB
MED 577.
