h. Disinfectant Solution. If you are going to sanitize dishes with a
disinfectant solution, use the following procedures:
o
Scrape the food scraps into a waste can, pit, or trench.
o
Prewash the items if possible.
o
Hand wash the items.
o
Rinse the items in clean water.
o
Disinfect the items by swishing them in a disinfectant solution
for at least 30 seconds.
o
Make a fresh solution for every 100 people.
DO NOT reuse the
solution. Ensure that the water temperature is between 75F and
100F.
o
Let the items air dry in a place where they will not get dirty.
i. Equipment and Maintenance Forms.
You must ensure that personnel
monitor the readiness status of field equipment. You use two forms to do
this: Department of Defense (DD) Form 314 (Preventive Maintenance Schedule
and Record) and DA Form 2404 (Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
Worksheet).
(1) When to Use DD Form 314.
Refer to Figure 1-17.
You use DD Form
314 for the following purposes:
o
Schedule
periodic
maintenance
on
equipment,
including
components in a system or subsystem, when the technical manual
requires unit maintenance personnel to perform a preventive
maintenance checks and services (PMCS).
You also use this
form to schedule services performed under the supervision of
unit maintenance personnel.
o
Show completed periodic services.
o
Show not-mission capable (NMC) days on equipment to be
reported under AR 700-138 (Army Logistics Readiness and
Sustainability). NMC time is kept only on equipment that is
reported under AR 700-138, Tables B-1 and B-2, as a single
item or subsystem.
o
Show system NMC time.
Post NMC time on a separate
DD Form 314 for each subsystem specifically identified
in AR 700-138, Tables B-1 and B-2.
