OVERVIEW
LESSON DESCRIPTION:
In this lesson, you will learn how to supervise tactical water distribution
system (hose line) operations.
TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
ACTION:
Supervise TWDS operations.
CONDITION:
You are the supervisor of a TWDS operation in a GS water
support unit which supports the corps. Your supervisor has
briefed you on the latest operation order and gives you the
most current storage, distribution, and issue logs.
Your
equipment consists of an operational 10-mile length of
tactical water hose line, five 600-GPM pumps, two storage
systems, and enough expendable supplies for 30 days of
operation.
STANDARD:
You
will
supervise
TWDS
operations,
ensuring
that
sufficient
quantities of potable water are stored and
distributed
as required and that the quality of the potable
water meets
the standards set by the Office of the Surgeon
General.
