Understand the organization for National Security and the organizations and missions of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
unified commands, and Department of Defense activities.

ACTION:
Understand the organization for national security; organization and missions of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff, unified commands, Department of Defense activities; specific wartime responsibilities of DOD
organizations; and the organization of each branch of service for petroleum supply. Understand the
responsibilities of the Department of Defense, military services, unified commands, Defense Logistics Agency,
and Defense fuel regions for DOD bulk petroleum management.
