Planning, coordinating, and supervising subsistence field
operations, and advising the commander on all aspects of field
subsistence operations will be in accordance with AR 30-18, AR
30-21, FM 10-23, FM 10-24, DA Pamphlet 738-750, and MIL HDBK
740.

INTRODUCTION
As a supply management officer, you are responsible for managing Class I
supplies. You plan, coordinate, and supervise the following:

Subsistence field operations.
o
Theater menu.
o
Receipt of subsistence.
o
Disposal of contaminated supplies.
In addition, you advise the commander on all aspects of subsistence
operations. This lesson gives you the information that you need to manage
Class I supplies properly and to advise the commander.
