operation starts.

This process begins with forecasting and pre-positioning subsistence.
a. Requirements.
Base subsistence forecasts on the following:
o
Projected strengths.
o
Remote feeding.
o
Ration mix.
o
Supporting Troop Issue Subsistence Activity (TISA) stockage.
o
TISA order-and-ship time.
Logistical planners from the division support command (DISCOM) supply
officer (S4) through the corps support command (COSCOM) assistant chief of
staff (G4) continue to work the following with the in-process reviews:
o
Menu cycle.
o
Standing operating procedures (SOPs).
o
These reviews cover any problems that units or supply activities may
critical element.
Shortages or excesses result if your planning is not
accurate.
The following factors affect predeployment planning:
o
Field menu.
o
Ration mix.
o
Ration requirements.
o
Supplemental and enhancement items.
