Receive Issue/Distribution Summary From Subordinate Water Supervisors. It is your
responsibility to review these forms to:
Determine if the requirements for potable water standards are being met.
Identify indications of decreasing chlorine residual. This could mean contamination exists somewhere in
the distribution system.
- If decreased residuals were discovered, issue and distribution operations should have been stopped,
the cause found, and product water returned to standard.
- If NBC agents were detected, all issue and distribution operations should have been stopped
immediately.
PART B - PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
Establish Preventative Maintenance Program. It is your responsibility to set up a preventative
maintenance program that requires soldiers to inspect the WQAS-P for defects every time they use the
equipment.
