PART E - PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
Monitoring PMCS Equipment. It is very important that preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on the 3,000-
GPH ROWPU and 60-kW generator are done in accordance with the relevant technical manuals for each piece of equipment.
In the case of the ROWPU, personnel must use TM 10-4610-232-12. In the case of the generator, personnel must use TM 5-
6115-545-12.
In performing maintenance, as a supervisor you need to ensure that personnel perform before-, during-, and after-
operations maintenance. You will do this by monitoring the activity, using DA Form 2404 (Fig. 1-5). To monitor the
maintenance, you need to ensure that the form is being filled out properly by each team chief. You will know when this is
done correctly when all deficiencies have been annotated. In addition, you need to supervise that initial adjustments, checks,
and self-tests have been made and that the maintenance is being added to the normal working schedule. If it is not, a
maintenance schedule should be made. In addition, check that operator deficiencies have been corrected.
