Supervising Site Selection. You are to select a water purification site from several proposed sites surveyed by the water
reconnaissance teams.
In making your choice, it is important to have drive-in access, a work area for equipment
maneuvering, a cleared path to the water source, parking for the trailer, placement for the raw water pump, and proper raw
water pump level. You also need to ensure that there is a sufficient water depth to allow the intake strainer to reach the
bottom of the water source. Without these features and factors, you will encounter unnecessary difficulties and delays in
completing your mission.
