In most GS operations, two or more
water units will be operating in
different locations throughout the
area. Therefore, it is essential that
you keep separate information on
each water point identified in the
water point number block. The
name of the NCOIC of the water
distribution point is who will be
contacted
about
distribution
activities. By keeping up with the
log on a daily basis, you can
determine the amount of water
distributed to units.
At the end of the day, total the
"Received" column because it will
show the total amount of water
received for the day. At the end of
the day, total the "Dispatched"
column because it will show the total
amount of water distributed for the
day.
Subtract
the
total
of
the
"Dispatched" column from the total
of the "Received" column to find the
figure to enter in the "Total Amount
on Hand" block.
Record any pertinent information;
for example, POL consumed,
chemicals used, or other operational
information in the "Remarks" block.
