When you receive orders to move to another site or the mission has
been completed, have the crew dismantle the ROWPU and prepare for movement
as follows:
a. System support items are packed into the appropriate storage box
provided.
b. Prepare the in-line turbidity meter for movement.
Disconnect and
coil all electrical cables and ground wires, cap all electrical outlets, and
pull and disassemble the ground rods.
c. Pull in the anchor, intake strainer, and raw water suction hose
sections using the anchor ropes. All of the crew may be needed to pull on
the rope to disengage the anchor.
d. Disconnect the intake strainer from the raw water suction hose.
Disconnect, drain, and cap all exterior hoses.
Coil the canvas hoses and
cap the outer ends after coiling. Drain and deflate the storage tanks.
e. Use straps to pull the raw water pump and carry the distribution
pump to the nearest access door.
Disassemble the cyclone separator and
carry the components to the nearest access door. Remove external adapters
from the van and cap outlets.
f. Pack the system components according to the loading plan. Use the
chain hoist to load the raw water and distribution pumps. Each storage tank
weighs 130 pounds. Use three soldiers to carry each tank. Properly secure
assemblies inside the ROWPU to prevent damage during movement.
6.
Before moving out, check and ensure the following:

o
The condition of the site is left as good or better than when you
arrived.

All equipment and tools have been loaded.
o
The trailer has been properly mounted to the prime mover.
Ensure
