OVERVIEW
This lesson discusses supervising the operation of the 600-GPH ROWPU. You
will learn PMCS, startup, operation, and shutdown of the generator.
You
also will learn startup, operation, shutdown, backwash, and reverse osmosis
element cleaning of the 600-GPH ROWPU.
TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
ACTION:
You will supervise the operation of the 600-GPH ROWPU, the
operation and PMCS of the 30-kilowatt diesel generator, and
the completion of water reports/logs/forms.
CONDITION:
You will be given information from TM 5-6115-465-12 and TM
10-4610-240-10.
STANDARD:
You will supervise 600-GPH ROWPU operations, ensuring that
that the quality of water meets the standards set by the
Office of the Surgeon General.

INTRODUCTION
The team chief of the 600-GPM ROWPU must be able to supervise the operators
according to doctrine. The team chief is the expert operator and must be
able to recognize proper procedures of startup, operation, shutdown,
backwash, R.O. element cleaning, and dismantle at a glance. The mission of
providing potable water in quantity and quality is your responsibility.
